Heat Pump Installation: Canyon Country Condo
Before
AfterThe condo had a 2001 wall furnace that worked fine until it didn’t. When the gas valve quit mid-January, the homeowner had a choice: patch a 24-year-old unit or switch to something that actually cools too. We pulled the dead furnace, ran new electrical for a Daikin heat pump, and mounted the outdoor unit on a stand where the old vent had been. The result? Heat in winter and AC in summer from one system, with a variable-speed compressor that doesn’t blast on and off like the old furnace did.
Furnace Repair: Valencia Split-Level Heat Exchanger Failure
Before
AfterA Valencia homeowner called us because the carbon monoxide detector near the hallway register kept chirping. Our technician pulled the blower assembly and found a hairline crack running through the Trane heat exchanger. That’s not a patch job; that’s a replace-it-or-shut-it-down job. We had the part in our Valencia truck stock, swapped the heat exchanger and burner assembly same day, and ran a combustion analysis before we left. The detector hasn’t chirped since.
AC Repair: Saugus Condenser Swap-Out
Before
AfterThe Saugus homeowner’s AC ran all day and never got below 80 degrees in August. We found a condenser coil so corroded from years of hard Santa Clarita water that the fins crumbled when you touched them. Recharging refrigerant into a coil that shot just wasn’t worth it. We replaced the condenser with a Bryant unit and matched the indoor coil so the system actually hits its efficiency rating. The house now pulls down to 74 by mid-afternoon, even when it’s 105 outside.
Furnace Repair: Newhall Gas Valve and Igniter

This one was a classic Newhall story: furnace worked fine all fall, first cold snap hit, nothing. The igniter glowed but the gas valve never opened. We diagnosed it with a multimeter in about twenty minutes: the valve’s solenoid was dead. Replaced the gas valve and the igniter while we were in there, since a 2012 igniter doesn’t owe anyone anything. The furnace fired on the first try and has run clean through two winter seasons since.
Heat Pump Installation: Stevenson Ranch Full Split Replacement

The Stevenson Ranch house had a 2006 Rheem AC condensing unit outside and a Rheem furnace in the attic, both original to the house. When the compressor grounded out in July, the homeowner was looking at a $2,300 repair on a 19-year-old unit. That math doesn’t work in our book. We quoted a full Carrier heat pump replacement, scheduled the install for a Thursday, and had the old equipment hauled away before dinner. One system now handles the whole house, and the utility bill dropped enough that the homeowner noticed within a month.
AC Repair: Castaic Refrigerant Leak and Coil Replacement

A Castaic home on the west side of the valley called us because the AC would cool for an hour, then blow warm. That pattern almost always means a slow refrigerant leak. We found the leak at the evaporator coil in the attic: corrosion had eaten a pinhole through the copper. Replaced the coil with an aluminum one that resists the same corrosion, pulled a vacuum, and recharged the system to factory spec. The AC now holds temperature and cycles normally instead of running itself ragged.
